The Debut of My Film “Moving Humanity Forward” on Vice USA Today

The debut of my Backlight episode ‘Matchmakers in migratie’ renamed “Moving Humanity Forward” on Vice USA today. The film was made in a grim political climate of the Trump era. Depicting Hamdi Ulukaya, a Kurdish businessman who made working with refugees a part of his business model.

My recorded conversation with Patrisse Cullors for VPRO backlight in the film BlackLivesMatter. The English language version is trending on Amazon, with more than a million views. Although this conversation took place in 2016, we are still unfortunately experiencing the full force of state violence.
